Punctures

New bike was fixed & went out again last weekend. Found some new lanes to wander. Heading home the rear tyre went down - stopped and pulled out a thorn. Grr. Then realised that for the first trip in ages I'd not carried any repair kit (I'd been trying to find a water bottle that fits the frame, but alas none did was a bit late and neglected to clip the seat pack back on). Fortunately I was only 2 miles from home by then so not a long walk.

Fixed it & found the source of a rattle - one of the boss inserts hasn't been done properly and has come loose; and there's no way to fix it as taking the bolt out would release the insert into the frame never to be seen again (would rattle even more...). Darn. Epoxy time.

Bought a new water bottle cage that actually fits; needless to say the most expensive in the shop and with a special bottle that had to be ordered.

Then found to my annoyance that the tire had gone down during the week. Had a look today, and even under water, can't find the leak. Put it back together and will wait and see if it hold pressure this time. But on the bright side, I didn't get caught in the monster rain shower that just passed through.

Your photos are really nice. I like the "Stray Spark" one. I'm always impressed by people that have the patience and knowledge to capture light in a dark place. I tried in college to produce photography like that and I always felt I failed miserably!

Hi there..Welcome to DA and thanx for adding me to ur watch =)

Thanks - my attention was caught by the sumptuous colours (I could lose a whole day in the tonal variations of the red scarf on your Massai woman portrait alone), and I'm very impressed by the focussing and composition. Do you have any plans to issue prints?
:iconmissarmani:
